Brand design for the Charity's network of boutique shops & cafes

Crisis is the national charity for single homeless people that have recently opened a network of boutique charity shops and cafes. We created a visual brand that would support these new commercial functions and engage a wider demographic, over brand, print and interior design.

I developed a bespoke typeface and two core elements – one, the ‘continuous line’, that would link the new name and parent brand plus create dynamic facias and interior design; and two, a hashed line which would evoke old point-of-sale print. The functional names chosen “Shop from Crisis” and “Cafe from Crisis” would keep the core organisation central.

The Finsbury Park branch of shop from Crisis recently won Time Out's coveted 'Love London' award for NE London.
