Our Process

We are a driven network of graphic designers, animators, videographers and place-based facilitators – with experience and understanding of decolonised and divergent perspectives. This diverse skill set means that our work goes deeper, even for quick jobs.

We are not restricted by a house style, but rather by listening to you, and what the issues are. From there, we can work out what we need to design to meet that need. Although our work spans branding, animation, place-based design and development – our process is the same: combining a deep understanding of policy and society with the ability to connect through stories that are relevant, real and human.

Step one: Define

We start by asking questions about what the issue is, what problem you want to solve, or what message you want to communicate. Some clients will have a clear idea (say, a printed campaign message), and others will just have a social need to solve in a community. Regardless, this step is all about working out, together, who needs to be in the room for us to gather the insight we need to move towards a creative proposal.

Step two: Create

Using a set of bespoke tools, we’ll start build your visual identity, campaign or story –  and this must authentically reflect both your core purpose and the lived experience of everyone that we’ve assembled as part of the process. For this step, we will design all the interactions that people come into contact with, from campaigns to physical spaces and services. Using our creative powers, we will make you stand out from the crowd.

Step three: Grow

People will continue to believe in your organisation or campaign if you remain true to your purpose, creating compelling reason for them to stay engaged through events, communications and other assets. In an ever-changing and uncertain world, our work can prove vital for clients to measure and demonstrate impact, secure funding through philanthropy or procurement, and engage people to their services.
