Youth Careers Collective

New brand for a leading youth charity

Working in a challenging sector, YCC (Formerly Spark!) needed to overhaul their brand to expand operations, to drive engagement and profile beyond existing companies, and collectively work with all partners to address a growing and urgent youth skills crisis. They needed a name and identity that was as ambitious as their aim.

Client: Youth Careers Collective
Services: Branding, Website Design + Development, Animation, Print

Result

We ran their first ever brand workshop, with trustees, core team and young associates, digging deep into what the passionate, shared story was. As always, we had to get everyone in the room to settle on a collective vision for the refreshed organisation, particularly to ensure young people were put first in terms of decision-making.

Starting with a name change, we drew on visual motifs and analogies that would help the charity stand tall, but also feel genuinely collaborative.

Building their new visual identity and rolling out to print, digital and animated elements, the work tells of a symbiotic relationship between all partners and communities to create careers – not just to provide employment. We continue to support the team to ensure this profile will help to revoluntionise their service.

“Over the past year, we’ve been brainstorming, designing, and refining - always asking ourselves how to reflect our mission more powerfully. One of the highlights of this journey was our very first branding workshop, where we brought together our team, trustees, and young associates, alongside our talented designer Jonny Weston. Together, we dug deep into what we hold true at the heart of Spark! and explored how best to represent that through our brand.”
